Frequently Asked Questions

What is Entrust's purpose?

Entrust assists the church in responding to the global cry for servant-leaders through accessible, transformational, biblical training. Worldwide, studies show that, over 4,000 churches are planted each week. Over three million pastors and church leaders function without any Bible training leaving them vulnerable to political exploitation and theological heresy that can cripple this global expansion of Christianity. The crucial need for capturing world evangelization is trained servant leaders/pastors who can build this tidal wave of new converts into healthy, stable, multiplying churches.

What distinguishes Entrust from other leadership training organizations?

First, Entrust does not just offer training events or courses, but builds training systems that are locally sustainable from the start. These systems are built with transferability in mind so that the training multiplies. This is significantly different from other ministries because we are taking seriously the fact that the church in parts of the world is growing faster than the leadership.

Second, Entrust training is done in collaboration with other missions and local organizations in the various regions to bring together a critical mass of expertise and ownership that greatly enhances the possibility of lasting success. These systems are built to deliver systematic, comprehensive, ongoing training opportunities.

Third, Entrust takes assessment seriously and makes it a part of its "DNA," so that we change in order to achieve excellence in the services we provide.

Fourth, Entrust connects the Bible with the community, meaning that our training results in leaders who see community issues like health, reconciliation, justice, poverty, and ethnic diversity in light of the Great Commandment to love God and our neighbors as ourselves.

Fifth, Entrust believes that a healthy church has well trained men and women. We offer Women-to-Women Leadership Training that is best in class.

Sixth, as research shows that non-formal extension education breaks down at the point of the facilitator, Entrust is designing continuing education experiences specifically aimed at upgrading the facilitator's skills in facilitating small groups, leading, mentoring, building training systems, and developing their own spiritual formation.

How is Entrust supported?

Entrust is a faith mission. People desiring to come on staff are required to raise their own financial support. Administrative needs are met through a variety of private donors, foundations and various corporate fundraising efforts.

How is Entrust accountable for its funds?

All gifts are tax deductible to the full extent allowed by law. Entrust is audited annually by an independent public accounting firm, and our audit report is available upon request. Our Board of Directors adheres to the policy that all contributions designated for a specified project shall be applied to that project, with up to ten percent to be used for administering the gifts, if needed. It is our policy to meet the needs God lays before us, so that Christ is glorified and the Gospel advanced. Entrust is a member of the Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability (ECFA).
