Bringing Hope and Light Through Christ

At the beginning of the 21st century there were approximately 16 million refugees around the world. Increasingly, with hopes for a brighter future and disappointed with the political, religious, and economic situations in their homeland, thousands of people are seeking asylum abroad.

Mohsen made the treacherous journey from Iran, through Turkey, finally crossing into Greece by foot in his search for political freedom. While at the Athens Refugee Center Mohsen placed his faith in Jesus Christ, and hit the ground running. He has been a faithful and eager student of several Entrust Bible study courses and recently completed his studies at the Greek Bible Institute. In 2005 he and others launched a Persian Fellowship in Athens where over 90 former Muslims have come to faith. God has clearly gifted Mohsen and raised him up to be an ambassador for Christ to refugees in Athens.

In a recent article in the UK, an Iranian journalist wrote that many Iranians embrace asylum as a way out, citing, "there is no hope left for us in Iran." Despite numerous health issues and fierce spiritual opposition, Mohsen believes God has called him to evangelism and teach the Bible, especially to young people. He is also involved in helping the Persian church from abroad by translating books. There are over 2,500 underground churches in Iran and he recently translated a book about cell churches into Farsi. His big vision is to one day see a bible college in Iran, a country of over 43 million people.

In 2006, Moshen joined Entrust as a staff member, working in Athens as a missionary to his countrymen. We would like to invite you to help Mohsen in this vital work of bringing new life through faith in Christ to people on the Refugee Highway—people in search of shelter, security, and hope. Your investment in prayer and in financial partnership will bear fruit that will last for all eternity.
