The Entrust Difference

What distinguishes Entrust from other leadership training organizations?

First, Entrust does not just offer training events or courses, but builds training systems that are locally sustainable from the start. These systems are built with transferability in mind so that the training multiplies. This is significantly different from other ministries because we are taking seriously the fact that the church in parts of the world is growing faster than the leadership.

Second, Entrust training is done in collaboration with other missions and local organizations in the various regions to bring together a critical mass of expertise and ownership that greatly enhances the possibility of lasting success. These systems are built to deliver systematic, comprehensive, ongoing training opportunities.

Third, Entrust takes assessment seriously and makes it a part of its "DNA," so that we change in order to achieve excellence in the services we provide.

Fourth, Entrust connects the Bible with the community, meaning that our training results in leaders who see community issues like health, reconciliation, justice, poverty, and ethnic diversity in light of the Great Commandment to love God and our neighbors as ourselves.

Fifth, Entrust believes that a healthy church has well trained men and women. We offer Women-to-Women Leadership Training that is best in class.

Sixth, as research shows that non-formal extension education breaks down at the point of the facilitator, Entrust is designing continuing education experiences specifically aimed at upgrading the facilitator's skills in facilitating small groups, leading, mentoring, building training systems, and developing their own spiritual formation.

Why Entrust?

  • The name comes from 2 Timothy 2:2...

"And the things you (2nd generation) have heard me (1st generation)
say in the presence of many witnesses entrust to
reliable people (3rd generation) who will also be qualified
to teach others (4th generation)."

  • Paul's model for reaching out and lifting up teachers to spread the gospel is the model that we have followed since the earliest days of this ministry.

  • Entrust means to pass on something of great value with total faith in the recipient's care and commitment.
