I have been involved in ministry since 1979. Living in Romania and Austria (1979-1999) with travel to Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Bulgaria, and Korea, I taught national women church leaders so they can train other women. Living in the U.S. since 1999, I facilitate training intensives in the U.S., Europe and Latin America.
With estimates of 4,000 or more new churches being planted each week, the need for leadership training is overwhelming. If every group doing leadership training worked at 110% capacity, the need would still be critical.
In many areas of the world, the church is made up of 70 to 90% women. But because of limited training opportunities and finances, plus the demands of family and jobs, women are often overlooked in terms of their Kingdom potential. We have a great opportunity to train these women who, in turn, can reach other women, thus allowing their pastors to focus on men in their congregation and community. Entrust has developed a specific curriculum which is being used in Europe, Asia, the Middle East, and Latin America. Entrust’s unique “education by discussion” method for adult learning is also influencing training in Africa and several closed countries.
Having been involved in helping to write and revise curriculum (to date: courses on facilitator training, child rearing, Bible study methods, and women ministering to women), I also facilitate these and other courses for women in all walks of life both in the U.S. and overseas.
What a privilege to meet and touch the lives of women around the world!
