Position Available



Summary:  Plays a key role in carrying out policies and procedures of the finance department to provide financial information and resources needed by staff as they multiply leaders for multiplying churches around the world. Responsible for compliance with government regulations and accuracy in preparation of monthly and annual financial statements. Responds to questions and requests from staff, donors and board members. Manages day-to-day finance department operations, providing support for the finance team – those on the front lines of serving and encouraging both Entrust staff and supporters. Member of a responsive, caring admin team that prays and works together to support God’s calling for Entrust.

Location: Colorado Springs, CO/Headquarters office

Compensation: Salary


  • Oversee receipting and deposits of all funds received.
  • Oversee payments of all invoices, payrolls and reimbursements, insuring expenditures remain within the limits of board-approved annual budgets.
  • Prepare monthly closing entries and reconciliation of bank statements.
  • Provide monthly organization-wide reports for CEO and board, and monthly project account reports and financial donation reports to staff.
  • Prepare for annual audit and filing of IRS form 990.
  • Maintain all funds and records in a manner consistent with IRS 501(c)(3) guidelines, and with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and ECFA membership standards.
  • Maintain internal controls, procedures and policies.
  • Review and recommend changes to financial systems as necessary.
  • Develop annual budget for general fund, for board approval.
  • Gather, review and summarize annual financial budgets from staff, for board approval.


  • Entrust will achieve a clean annual audit.
  • Entrust will maintain 501(c)(3) status (deductibility of donations to Entrust).
  • Finance department will provide resources on a timely basis to staff and partners.
  • Finance department will provide useful and accurate financial information to management, staff, board and donors.


Professional Qualifications

  • Prefer a bachelor’s degree in accounting plus two or more years of experience, preferably in fund accounting for non-profit organizations.
  • Good working knowledge of the principles of accounting and current tax laws/trends, especially as they relate to internal controls, payroll and conditions for the deductibility of charitable contributions.
  • Ability to remain current with changes in pertinent laws and regulations.
  • Willingness to continually upgrade accounting skills.
  • Familiarity with computer programs and office equipment, as related to job functions.
  • Aptitude for computers. Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and other programs as needed.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work and pay attention to detail.
